Poster design in process

By using photoshop I created a background that I think it fits the theme of Alice in the wonderland.

My ideas

From Victoria's Secret fashion show,I came out with an idea of combining a music concert with jewellery  showcase. The theme will be Alice in The Wonderland. I took reference from Tim Burton's  movie.

For my poster,I want it to be very colourful and interactive at the same time so I googled about pop up art and try to get some inspiration from other paper art.

Victoria's Secret

My first proposal is that organise an Masquerade ball in Taylors University.As the event might be too small cannot get involve with many things,limited on the ideas so I get inspiration from other international big event.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is interesting.It branded up the lady's inner wear with class and held a huge fashion shoe annually.The whole project had been taken to a new level which make Victoria's Secret fashion show become a significant of America.The idea of the fashion show is that celebrity will be invite to the event to perform at the same time the model having the cat walk.Every year a new theme will be come out and the whole show decoration and fashion design direction will match each other.

I research on their design and event concept then come out with a similar event idea.

Event poster ideas and research

First idea that pop out in mind for the event poster is Masquerade ball.Masquerade balls were a feature of the carnival season in the 15th century and were extended into costumed public festivities in Italy during the 16th century Renaissance.They became popular throughout mainland Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Many movies I like do have a scene of masquerade ball for example : Phantom of the opera,Man behind the iron mask.

Personally I think all  the mask design is very unique.I like this type of social event.Back then only all the rich people will dress up very classy,wear jewels everything and attending to this type of ball.Nowadays is normal for people throwing a masquerade theme ball so I plan to make a poster for an university event like this.Normally if attending to a ball dressing up in 16th 17th type of costume is weird so I was thinking why not make it a Halloween party ball.Since Halloween is about dressing up,have fun.
